Samuel H Glassner, MD

The well-preserved medieval town of Erice sits roughly 2400 feet above the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Trapani province of Sicily. Ancient remains include walls with Phoenician inscriptions, fragments of the temple of Venus Erycina, 60 churches, a castle built by Normans, and a castle built by Saracens. This unretouched image was captured with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS19.
