Fire 0001Winter 2019
To remember the worst wildfire in California history, the artist took thousands of photos in the community around the Santa Rosa Medical Center. From the artist: "Time flies, the rebuild starts. The disaster occurs here and there, year after year. I wish for these photos to help us be more environmentally sensitive, more thankful for what we have, and engage in more preventive practices." Dr Chen is Medical Director and a Pathologist at the Santa Rosa Medical Center in CA. More of Dr Chen’s photographs can be seen in this issue of The Permanente Journal.
